This class will count as three (3) class credits for anyone that is short. We will also go through
all of the requirements for promotion to your next rank, including a board breaking clinic at the end.

This testing is for those students that were unable to attend the regularly scheduled testing. Friends
and family are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Saturday, March 17- Poker Night, 6:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m.- $25/person
Come play poker with your friends, classmates, and fellow parents. We will be providing pizza and
soda and will have a kid friendly movie playing so feel free to bring your kids.
We will be having a practice session to go over the rules, tournament format, betting, strategies,
etc, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. This is a fun tournament with prizes for 1st-6th place and every student gets a
free Private Lesson ($10 value) for participating.
Thursday, March 22- Coaches Class, 6:00 p.m.-6:45 p.m. - $30/pair
We will be going over the fundamentals of how to coach your child during tournament season. Explaining
the rules, procedures and strategies for successful tournament sparring.
Saturday, March 24- Kobudo in KC, 11:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m.

Saturday, March 24- Referee Clinic, 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.
This is open to any student brown belt and above. We will be going over the rules and procedures for
acting as a corner judge and center referee for point-sparring tournaments.

We will be going over the fundamentals necessary for success in both point-sparring tournaments and
continuous sparring tournaments.
Thursday, April 19- Bring-A-Friend, Break-A-Board, 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. - Free
Bring your best friend or friends with you to class and we will work on basic martial arts skills, including
combining goal-setting and board breaking. At the end of class, all students will write their goal on a
board, and then break that board!!! All parents of both students and friends must attend this class in order
for anyone to participate.

We will be hosting an in-school tournament for our students to gain competition experience in a safe
and relaxed environment. We will have weapons, forms and sparring competitions. See your instructor
for a registration form.

Come renew your certification or get your initial certification from Instructor Locke, a certified CPR
instructor and Registered Nurse with over 30 years experience. All black belts must hold a current
CPR certification.
